Teel-Dah is a Scandinavian multidisciplinary artist based in South East London, working primarily with sound. Her practice spans sound composition, experimental music, field recording, and live performance, blending melancholic melodies, soul, jazz, electronica, and cinematic textures. Teel-Dah’s music ranges from trip-hop–inspired beats, with Björk as a key influence, to more Scandinavian art-pop, drawing on ancient folk traditions such as Kulning and the natural landscapes of her heritage to create immersive, emotionally resonant soundscapes.
A vocal injury in 2025 and the development of her Völva project marked a turning point in her artistic journey, reshaping her approach to voice, sound, and performance. That same year, she took part in a residency at The Fish Factory in Iceland, exploring the therapeutic potential of natural sounds and frequencies. She combined field recordings with Tibetan singing bowls and other sound healing instruments to craft compositions designed to alleviate stress, support emotional balance, and explore the interplay between sound, body, and mind.
Live performance is central to Teel-Dah’s work. Through improvisation, she creates music as a form of therapy for herself and her audience, crafting immersive experiences where sound becomes a shared, physical, and emotional medium. In the studio, she works primarily in Ableton, blending field recordings, analog instruments, and experimental soundscapes to produce environments that engage multiple senses and invite reflection. Her voice, shaped by vulnerability and intensity, draws listeners into intimate and emotive sonic spaces.
At its core, Teel-Dah’s work explores the intersection of sound, healing,
and environment, integrating experimental techniques, Scandinavian cultural influences, and contemporary sonic practices. Her aim is to create immersive, participatory, and emotive experiences, making spaces like residencies and live performances ideal for sharing her practice with engaged and curious audiences.
Teel-Dah has performed at the London Jazz Festival (Jamboree) and major festivals and venues including Boomtown, Glastonbury, Lazer Hazer, The Revival Festival, Hultsfreds Festivalen, Brighton Pride, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, and Oslo Hackney. She has also supported acts such as Lava La Rue, SK Shlomo, and Haiku Hands. Her work has been featured in Discover Mag, POP Matters, Dummy Mag, Spindle Mag, Swedish GAFFA, and she was highlighted as Artist of the Week by BBC Introducing.
